Reporting infringement

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact form (select “Press / other”) including: your contact details, the work you own, the URL of the material, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.

How notices are handled (Notice-and-Notice)

Canada's Copyright Act uses a “Notice-and-Notice” regime. When we receive a valid notice of claimed infringement about content posted by a user, we will forward the notice to that user and retain the records required by the Act.

Forwarding a notice does not itself require removal of the content. Separately, as a matter of site policy, we may remove or disable access to content at our discretion where we consider it appropriate.

We also honour properly formed U.S. DMCA notices for users and rights holders in the United States.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice through the same form explaining why.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content will be terminated.
